Change Time Zone with htaccess

In my server there are some sites from Turkey, some of from England, some of from Germany. I have got timezone problem in that sites. I found easy solution for this. Just add .htaccess this code:

php_value date.timezone "Europe/Istanbul"

php_value date.timezone "America/Chicago"

You can test date is change or not

If htaccess can't solve your problem, add this code to your php

Copy a Directory to Another Server

I need a script to my directory to another servers. Firstly, i tried to download from my site and upload another site but it is not so fast. Because there is lots of files in that directory. I wrote a little php script for this. I hope you will enjoy..
P.S.: This code is only copy files in that directory, if there is another directories this script didnt copy them..

Iframe Virus jl.chura.pl Removal

Today i upload an index file to my web site and i saw an iframe that site. I am shocked. Because i never use any iframe. I enter another sites for checking. All web sites are iframed. In my explorer all web sites are virused. I checked my sites to my friends. They saw iframe virus in my site. I search this virus, it is changing index and default files. Add code like here..

UPDATED (5th June 2009):

After a while, virus come back. I used Avast Free Version, that is find all viruses and removed. But it is damaged infected files. All infected .html and .php files are deleted. Download Avast Home Edition >

This virus also affected your google results. Google can block your site because of badware. You have to read “My site’s been hacked – now what?” and after remove your virus you have to read “Hey Google, I no longer have badware“.

PS: I am not guarenteed virus removal, these are only what i do.

Image Directory Security with htaccess

Some hackers or attackers try to upload script files in image upload files and they can see and change your files with that script. You can block this type file in that directories. You can forbidden type of files and close execution of CGI.

Protect Image From Other Sites

Sometimes other sites use our images, but there is no link us. Only it is fill our bandwidth limit. We can ban that users or we can show another image for that sites. You can write that image “This images can download in www.domain.com”. You have to add this codes to .htaccess

Change domain with your domain name and sucks.jpe is your image to show

Php 5.2.9 Updated But Mysql Doesnt Work

I blogged Php 5.2.9 Upgrade. Some of my user updated with using this entry. But i miss something in these entry. Firstly, i have to say. If you upgrade php version, you have to upgrade mysql and php-mysql.

To Upgrade Mysql and Php-Mysql tool

yum --enablerepo=remi update mysql*
yum --enablerepo=remi update php-mysql

And there one more thing, he was php4 and upgrade to 5. Firstly we can not upgrade, we install php newly.

Installing Php

yum --enablerepo=remi install php

When you install on old version, there will be somethings to change. Their extentions directory are different
Old One
extension_dir = /usr/lib/php4

New one (Php 5)
extension_dir = /usr/lib/php/modules

And i restarted services

/etc/init.d/mysqld restart
/etc/init.d/httpd restart

I get error in httpd restart

PHP Warning: Module ‘mysql’ already loaded in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning: Module ‘mysqli’ already loaded in Unknown on line 0

Because mysql is standart module in php5, we dont need load mysql in config file. I change php.ini file (/etc/php.ini) Only i add ; character, it is for comments.

Deny Directory Listing in .htaccess

Some webmasters upload a blank index.html for dont index directories. Thats a way of listing directories. But htaccess is more easier solution for this. Just add this code to your .htaccess file

Options -Indexes

Allow directory index, remove the that code or change

Options +Indexes

If you want to list files in directory, but except some of filetypes. Example this code is ignoring zip and rar files.

IndexIgnore *.zip *.rar

You can disable directory indexing with indexignore too

IndexIgnore *

Another way is changing the directory index file

DirectoryIndex this_my_index_file.html
