i want the login form coding in html with javascript,,when i click login it will take only the user name is e- mail address oterwise should display the error message..please help me

Count me as a newbie here lol. I'm working with a linux apache server with a mysql database storing user email address's as the user id and appropriate passwords. This looked like a great way to implement the login sequence however all that happens on submit is that the login.html form is reloaded with the user and pass parameters displayed in a GET format on the url. Surely this is not what was intended. I expected login.php to display the validation of the user/pass info.
What simple issue am I missing?? Thanks for any help.

because if you submit it in the same form, you have to replace the value of the password field with md5 value and that would briefly be visible to the user. Who wants that?

i checked it in burp suit(proxy) the password is not in hashed format from client..it is in plain text

Why did you use the separate form to submit the name and password? Why not submit it through the same form?
